Terry Light on StrokeUSA.com
I'm also known in the forum as Stroke Bloke.
About Terry.
I tell you a little about my stroke and why I am qualified to put up a
site that talks about the experiences of people after they have had a
stroke.
Introduction.
Originally, I thought I might write a book (since there were no books by
anyone who was "normal"), then I just decided to study, relearn, and put
my story on the web. This introduction tells why I thought it was
important.
The
Stroke.
Everyone's stroke story is undoubtedly different but I was
there for
mine. At the time, I thought everything was hilarious.
Emergency Room.
After piddling around, after I had my stroke I went straight to the
emergency room. If I sound rational now, I certainly was not then.
Hospital - Wednesday.
I went from the emergency room to the hospital and they told me I could
sleep, but didn't let me.
Hospital - Thursday & Friday.
By then, the cantankerous spirit was well upon me, yet I was not quite
as able as I thought I was. Nosiree!.
Hospital -
Weekend
The highlight was a shower and hopefully, you will like it, too,
The low point was my fear of the acute Recover Unit. It scared me.
I Want To Go Home!
I really did not like the hospital and I did not want to be there
anymore, Send me home, but let me stop for a cheeseburger.
I'm hungry!
I've already written about the time in the hospital and my homecoming, as well as some other stuff. I'll put it up as fast as I can.
