Personal Stories
Just write something down and put it is the forum or
send it in. It does not matter who is writing what we hear - the
survivor, their caretaker, a loved one, or someone else.
I have included the story of my actual stroke. My story won't save anyone but I hope to make recovery and rehabilitation a little better.
Other people should send me their story, too. Tell it with a sense of humor and make it at least slightly humorous. Folks need laughter more than they need 'gloom and doom.'
When
I had a stroke, my caregiver looked online and in the bookstores for
something to read. I wanted a regular person's story. Rich
or famous people we all recognize will get the best care, but not us
normal folks.
I wondered how a regular person woud cope.
Finally, I found Ed's story. I got permission to put it on this site and did so write away. Ed is part of the inspiration behind this site.
